Il titolo della mostra allude all’effetto fisico del risuonare come se le sue opere fossero dei sonar in grado di captare invisibili forze magnetiche e sonore, oltre l’umana capacità di percezione, o come dei Theremin ne producessero di proprie sotto il movimento delle mani dell’artista. Il suo interesse nel realizzare dipinti sul suono è nato grazie a due residenze che fece presso l'Institute of Astronomy e la London Mathematical Society molti anni prima, ma non avendo mai voluto lavorare direttamente su grafici o mappe acustiche, queste immagini si sono sedimentate nel tempo e ora riemergono filtrate dall’esperienza della sua pittura astratta.
